GREAT EFFORT
Freshman FOOTBALL vs. Manchester Central
The Freshman Bulldog’s faced off against a tough Manchester Central Freshman team at home. Even with numerous injuries and key starters not able to play, the Bulldog offense ground out a tough running game with great running by Tim Greene and Jack Grogan all behind Center Charlie Kneisell-Williams and the Bulldog offensive line. The sole Bulldog TD was a pass from QB Nathaniel Frederick to Joey Leary with 2 seconds left in the half. The Bulldog defense also did well stopping a fast and aggressive Central offense. Strong defensive play was delivered by Jack Grogan, Joey Leary, Patrick Goterch, Jack Jones,Trevor Soden and Ethan Van Heerdan. Chris Gaitley made a great defensive play where he stripped the ball and recovered the fumble. The Bulldogs did a great job holding Central to only one TD in the second half. Unfortunately, it wasn’t enough to turn the game around for the Bulldogs.
