Spring Sports tryouts and/or practices begin Monday, 3/21.  

All athletes must bring their blue card to the coach in order to tryout. Athletes that do not have blue cards - Likely have a "pending" issue with our standard process.  It is up to the athlete(s) to follow through with Mrs. Romano as our protocol is the same every season. Any questions - Please contact the Athletic Department.

Ice Hockey Championship Ticket Sales for the game this Saturday, March 19 @ 4:30pm @ the Verizon Wireless Center are available to purchase in the Athletic Department NOW thru Friday @ 1:30pm.


The Verizon has new security rules everyone will encounter upon entering their venue. Visitors walk through metal detectors as opposed to doing visual and pat down searches. NO bag (including backpacks) any larger than 14” by 16” are allowed.  ANY bag will be physically searched. “Leathermen Tools” and pocket knives of any size are not allowed.  NO outside food or drinks allowed.  And, per the NHIAA, NO Noise makers!!

ICE HOCKEY vs. Exeter in the NHIAA 
Semi-Final DI Playoff Round 
Bulldogs scored on a power play goal with a shot from the point from Alex Abad, assisted by Jacob Rioux and Nate John. Bedford netted their second goal of the first period by Tyler Gamble assisted by Matt Giroux and Nate John. Bedford scored two more in the second period period, a backhand goal by Colin Voloshin assisted by Matt Giroux and the last goal of the game came from Jay Roberto. Erik Voloshin and Alex Lindberg shut out Exeter by turning away 19 shots. Bedford advances into the finals at the Verizon on Saturday at 4:30 PM to take on Bishop Guertin at 4:30pm.

Girls' BASKETBALL vs. Londonderry
in the NHIAA Semi-Final Round playoffs
Bedford faced Londonderry for the third time this season and it was another defensive battle.  Two normally high scoring teams struggled all night to score due to relentless defense by both teams.  In the last minute, Nikki Tucci hit a three and Mia Roy came off the bench to make three very important foul shots to give Bedford the win.  Courtney O’Connell led all Bedford scorers with 8 points. Jenoyce Laniyan had 6 rebounds.

WRESTLING NE Championships
Two wrestlers represented Bedford and the New England Wrestling Championships last week in Providence Rhode Island. AJ Pagliarulo who was the first freshman from Bedford to ever wrestle at the New England tournament had an impressive showing winning two matches. Congratulations to Bobby Heald who placed 6th becoming the first Bedford wrestler to place at the New England tournament.

GREAT EFFORT
Unified BASKETBALL vs. Winnisquam
The Bulldogs traveled to Tilton to compete in the
NHIAA Preliminary Round. We did not score in 
the first quarter, but were able to hold the Bears to 
only 15 additional scoring points for the remainder
of the game! This was an all-team effort that showed
tremendous determination to challenge this 3rd seed
opponent. Jonathan Harris was our leading point 
scorer.  Olivia Murray and Brett Cain both contributed 
six points each!

Girls' Varsity BASKETBALL vs. Nashua South 
in the NHIAA Prelim Round
Seven Bedford players scored between 6 and 8 points each in Bedford’s first round playoff win over Nashua South.  Courtney O’Connell and Alexis Meservey led the Bulldogs with 8 points each. Bedford moves on to host Merrimack on Saturday.

Varsity ICE HOCKEY vs. Nashua North
Bedford had 6 goal scorers: Jack McDonough, Jay Roberto, Jacob Rioux, Nate John, Colin Voloshin, and Griffin Gagne netted 2. The assists came from Alex Abad, Matt Giroux, and Danato Tempesta. Alec Lindberg made 11 saves. The teams last regular season game is this Saturday 3/5 at 2:00pm at the Sullivan Arena.
